Clinical Observation of Intestinal tuberculosis

Abstract

|
|
Clinical Observation was Performed on 20 cases of Intestinal Tuberculosis for 3 years from January 1969 to August 1972 at PMC Jeon-ju Korea.
1. The male and female ratio was 2.3 : 1 in this series.
2. The peak incidence of Age 4th decade.
3. The cases associated with pulmonary tuberculosis was 13 cases (65%).
4. The commonest clinical manifestations were anorexia (55%), abdominal pain (´0%) diarrhea (50%) general weakness (45%). and fever (30%).
5. The most commonly involved areas were ileum (11 cases); ileocecal region ( 1 cases) and ascending colon (6 cases). Some cases had more than one involved areas.
